The design for Bula Kavananda centers on the concept of "Organic Contrast." The challenge was to transform a high-ceilinged commercial space into an intimate, grounded lounge. We achieved this through the strategic use of vertical scale—utilizing monumental carved headboards and tribal masks—to draw the eye upward while keeping the seating low and communal. The result is an eclectic fusion of industrial finishes and artisanal craftsmanship.

By pairing raw, moody charcoal walls with the warmth of weathered, hand-carved wood, we’ve created a "community living room" that feels both ancient and effortless. Indigo lighting and botanical textures bring the spirit of the islands to a modern urban setting.
